Introduce your kids to Spoon!

family bike ride.jpg

The Challenge Office has launched a challenge which the whole family can take part in, so why not introduce your kids to the world of Spoon! A 5 mile family route has been designed and included in the Spoon BikeFest line up. This route will start and finish at Wootton Bassett RFC and means that even the youngest Spoon supporters can join in the fun. A letter hunt quiz will also be included in the route to make it even more exciting for the younger attendees with prizes awarded at the finish line festival. Those 16 and over can complete the ride alone and younger children are invited to join in as long a family member can accompany them. In order to take part in the family route, adults must raise a minimum of £10 and children must raise a minimum of £5 - so all in all, a fun family event that will keep you fit whilst raising an achievable amount for disadvantaged kids! Contact the Challenge Office on 01889 582 889 for more information or to book your place. (Places are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis)

SPOON CHALLENGES

As early as 1990, national charity, Wooden Spoon was tempting you to take part in tough, exhilarating and rewarding challenges.

It all began with the Four Peaks and in that first year, a handful of enlightened challengers raised £1,226 from stunned and incredulous family and friends.

Over the years the Four Peaks Challenge has grown and in 2005, 53 teams pledged a staggering £461,611.00 in aid of disadvantaged children across the UK and Ireland!

The challenge calendar has also expanded with new events being added on a regular basis. These include The Great Lakeland Challenge, The End 2 End Challenge and the Summer Solstice Bike Ride, to name a few.
